Hanmaum Seon Center of
Mungyeong
Hanmaum Seon Center of Mungyeong is dedicated to helping all beings learn to rely upon and discover their inherent Buddha-nature. In so doing they can discover this interconnected whole that we call Hanmaum, or one mind. In awakening to this and learning to live in tune with it, each of us can go forward on our own path of spiritual evolution with energy, wisdom, and as a blessing to all around us.
Tucked into the eastern foothills of Dondal Mountain, our small Mungyeong center opened in 2000 in this quiet city known for its beautiful
temples and historic sites. Today, our grounds are home to a Dharma hall, two residence buildings, and a simple, tidy garden. Standing
guard behind the Dharma hall is a magnificent red pine tree, over 300 years old, looking like something straight out of an ancient painting.
When you step onto our grounds, you can't help but feel a sense of simplicity, warmth, and peace.
Our Sangha here loves this place, and we work hard to practice the Buddha's teachings and share them widely. We hope you'll watch over
us as we grow, both inwardly and outwardly, and we thank you for your support.
