The Hanmaum Seon Center is dedicated to guiding all beings to awaken to the one mind, Hanmaum, which is the ultimate goal of the Buddha's teachings. By helping individuals illuminate their inherent Buddha-nature, the Center supports them on the path to enlightenment.

Hanmaum Seon Center was founded by Seon Master Daehaeng with the purpose of helping people to live freely by realizing their Buddha nature. She emphasized that this was already inherent within us all, and taught people how to become aware of this in their daily life.
The Hanmaum Seon Center encourages faith in one’s inherent Buddha nature and focuses on using the experiences of daily life as material for spiritual practice. This involves observing arising thoughts and situations and entrusting them to one’s inherent foundation. In this way, we become aware of the interconnected functioning of our mind, and how our true essence manifests in the world.

Hanmaum Seon Center operates 15 domestic branches and 9 international branches. Each branch serves as a place where people can learn how their Buddha nature functions in daily life, and how to integrate our spiritual practice and daily life.

By offering insights into the background and circumstances of their founding, the department lays a foundation for future generations to appreciate the history and context of Seon Master Daehaeng's teachings.
The Media Department creates and provides diverse content based on Seon Master Daehaeng’s teachings, tailored to contemporary media platforms. It leads online outreach efforts through the development of web and mobile systems, technical support, and ongoing program innovations.
